We ran a lampshade workshop back in March and we thought it would make a great first blog post to share the details with you all.
Karen from Fabricate Ireland was in charge of proceedings and she did a fantastic job of talking everyone through the process.
There were twelve people here for the day. Each attendee picked their own fabric from our range of quilting cottons. The rest of the lamp was made using a kit supplied by Karen which included fire retardant fabric to line the inside of each lamp. Karen talked the group through each step, from start to finish.
We had a break half way through for a cuppa, chats and some gorgeous home-made cake. Everyone was delighted with their lamps and we think you'll agree that the finished products are really impressive!
The workshop was 4 hours long. The cost was €95.00. This included the full lamp making kit and tea/coffee and cake.
We run these events regularly. Obviously with the current Covid-19 restrictions there will be a bit of a break from events but be sure to register your interest and we will contact you when we're up and running again. You can also shop our range of quilting cottons here.
Happy shopping and sewing!
